HUGE FIRE – The building that used to house Tomchei and Pico Bais Medrish – burns in a huge blaze

Ben Kahn was the first on the scene and was the one that initially called 911. Ben was walking on Pico this
morning when he spoted the smoke.

 

Brian Levine with LAFD – Paramedic, and firefighter.  Brian told the Hillygram that the water cannons, depending on the size of the nozzles can shoot water out at a rate of 125 to 1000 gallons per minute.

In today’s fire, they were using nozzles that were shooting out water at a rate of 600 gallons per minute.
