Mapping The Soul Through The Lens Of Chassidic Thought
Upcoming Full-Day Immersive Workshop In Beverly Hills Focuses On Mapping The Soul Through The Lens Of Chassidic Thought
Launching for the first time in the United States, the Nefesh Academy of Jewish Psychology will host an inaugural full-day workshop on January 15, 2023, in Beverly Hills.
Founded in Israel in 2008, the Nefesh Academy of Psychology has taught a psychological/therapeutic model for mental/emotional health and healing for the past fifteen years. Derived entirely from the teachings of Kabbalah and Chasidic writings, dozens of professional therapists and over 5000 laymen from all walks of life in Israel have benefited from these cutting-edge teachings.
Students of the school—whether pursuing a career in therapy, a more sophisticated presentation of Chassidut, or a genuinely authentic and practical approach to applying Chassidut to their everyday lives—can expect to walk away from the hybrid (live and online) course offerings with a clear roadmap for navigating the ups and downs of the psyche and tools for living their best and truest life.
As Hindel Swerdlov, an LA native and former student, recently stated, “It’s relationships, self-awareness, and getting to the healthiest version of your God-intended purpose with tools to get there. Life changing!”
The director of the program is Rabbi Yitzchak Ginsburgh—a foremost authority on Jewish mysticism and director of educational centers throughout Israel—and the instructors consist of students who have experience thoroughly articulating the intricacies of the Nefesh Academy’s curriculum.
Another program graduate, Rabbi Yacov Derhi (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), said the following: “Throughout my over 11 years of teaching Torah and psychology classes based on the teachings of Rabbi Ginsburgh, every single student that stayed with me till today, all experienced the ‘aha moment.’ They all felt that these classes were leading them to some kind of revelation.”
Rabbi Moshe Genuth—a senior student, lecturer, and editor of Rabbi Ginsburgh’s teachings—will deliver the inaugural live lectures on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the Residence Inn Beverly Hills located at 1177 S Beverly Drive. Sessions will run from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Brunch will be served.
Taught in Los Angeles or Jerusalem, Nefesh Academy monthly classes will be available on a dedicated online distance-learning platform.
The cost for the full-day immersive workshop and brunch is $80, or if you are unable to attend in person, $50 to secure your online access to the event.
