As we reflect on the past year, it is clear that the disruption to Judaism has been acute. And yet, thank Gd, though weddings may be smaller or scaled down, they are still taking place and thankfully the community continues to grow. Especially with the current uncertain economic climate, the financial burdens of making a simcha can be more overwhelming than previously imagined, and Hachnassat Kallah needs assistance now more than ever.
Every Jewish community, at any given time in history, establishes and maintains four charitable organizations one of which is to help celebrate a bride. As we approach Rosh Hashana we ask that you remember Hachnassat Kallah in your tzedakah considerations, and that you join us in helping to bring the same joy and happiness into the lives of our couples that we each hope for in our own lives.
