HELP AN ELDERLY MAN IN THE COMMUNITY PAY HIS RENT

This pleas for community help has not run for almost a year because the funds from this post have taken care of the immediate financial needs of this community member.
But now the donated money is running low and we once again are turning to the community for help. Remember this is NOT to fully support this man but just to cover the
shortfall so he does not have the monthly stress. The monthly amount needed is $400. PLEASE READ BELOW. THANK YOU.
An older man needs a little financial assistance monthly.
To all of you who have contributed to help this elderly man pay his rent, please know that he is very thankful and appreciates your kindness tremendously. Because of your contributions, he has been able to pay his rent, on time, since last fall. We can only imagine the peace of mind this elderly man feels every month knowing that the $400 deficit he faces very month will be taken care of by the kind and charitable people of our community. After his difficult life’s journey, he can breathe easy in regards to his rent
This is the first month this fund is struggling. If possible, please make a monthly donation…it can be small. Every dollar makes a huge difference.
For those of you who are reading this Chesed Opportunity for the first time, please read below the short description of this elderly man’s remarkable story in coming to America with baby son which has been posted monthly in Hillygram:
An older man needs a little financial assistance monthly. Many years ago, he fled the Iranian religious dictatorship. With his baby son on his back, and a small amount of food, he crossed a huge mountain range, on foot, from Iran into Pakistan, a very dangerous journey. This perilous journey took him to Europe and then to New York where he worked 2 to 3 jobs daily to support himself and his young son for many years.
Eventually he and his son made their way to Los Angeles.
Today he lives in a small studio apartment across the alleyway from Bais Bezalel. He has no Social Security or Medicare of other retirement income because throughout the years he worked only menial labor jobs.
Today he is not well and can no longer work.
He is $400 short every month on his rent.
If 8 people from our community can commit to $50 each month, this man can have peace of mind and pay his rent in full.
Any amount will be very helpful. And if you can only do a one time donation, this will also be very, very appreciated by him.

YASHER KOACH We did it! In December, we raised $340 of the $400 needed to pay the elderly man’s rent.
An older man needs a little financial assistance monthly.
Many years ago, he fled the Iranian religious dictatorship. With his baby son on his back, He crossed the mountain range with his baby son on his back, on foot, from Iran into Pakistan, a very dangerous journey. This perilous trip eventually took him to Vienna, and then to New York, where he worked 3 jobs daily to support himself and his young son for several years.
Eventually, he and his son made their way to Los Angeles.

The checks will be made out to KDM, Rabbi Peer’s Chesed organization. From there, the funds will be distributed to this man once a month to cover his rent deficit.
